FAME (Film Audience Measurement & Evaluation) is the cinema industry's key marketing tool for analysing film viewing and cinemagoing behaviour. The FAME survey was launched in 2007 and replaced the industry's old currency CAVIAR.

Going into its tenth year, FAME covers all aspects of film consumption - the experience of cinema, DVD, on-demand, trailers, advertising, reviews, 3D, digital, information sourcing, social media, piracy and more.

The FAME survey is extremely targeted, interviewing only those who have been to the cinema in the last 6 months, thus ensuring that all respondents have cinema and film experiences. With a sample size of 3,300 respondents aged 7+, FAME is able to provide in-depth insight into the behaviour of both adults and children. FAME also asks parents with children aged 4 - 6yrs about the cinemagoing and film consumption of their children, allowing for analysis of this audience also. The FAME2015 research was conducted independently by CrowdDNA.

If you are interested in advertising on cinema and would like to discover how FAME can help you, or indeed, if you would like to find out more about FAME or would like to subscribe to the FAME survey please contact our Research department
