The results show that Cinema advertising outperforms print and outdoor across Europe with a RROI of
3.07 and an overall carry-over rate of 48%.
The carry-over rate means that if a brand invests €x and reaches 100 sales in week 1, they will achieve 48 in week 2, 23 in week 3 and 11 in week 4 and so on.
More specifically, in the UK, Cinema delivers £2.84 RROI and has the highest carry-over rate of all media at 72% per week.
The study also identified optimum percentage investment in Cinema as part of the media mix. The study suggests spending up to 10% of your media budget on cinema can significantly increase the total communications RROI of the whole campaign.
