2009 saw cinema revenue grow by 4.9%. This growth comes from categories such as Household, business, entertainment and the Media. It is likely that 2010 will see further growth in cinema revenue.

Motors, in recent years have been the highest spending category on cinema, however in the 2009 recession motors dropped to fourth, whilst Telecomms became the highest spending category..
A new category to enter the cinema top 10 in 2009 is finance, spurred by brands such as Co-op, Axa and American Express.
