• Cinema admissions for June stood at 8.7m , a decrease of -30.1% on June 2009

• This is due to strong performances in 2009 of blockbusters such as Terminator Salvation, Transformers 2 and The Hangover

• The moving annual total (rolling 12 months) stands at 170.1m, -2.7% down on this time last year

• The average weekly admissions figure for June were 2.03m a decrease of -30.24% on average weeks in June 2009

• Sex and The City 2 rises from the third biggest release of May and pushes Iron Man 2 out of the top spot to claim the June #1. Releasing @ the end of May it took £13.2m in June and has taken £20.98m to date.
