• Cinema admissions for November stood at 14.9m , an increase of 10.2% yr on yr.

 

• The moving annual total stands at 169.5m, 1.8% up on the MAT this time last year.

 

• The average weekly admissions figure for November were 3.48m an increase of 10.13% on average weeks in October 2008

 

• Admissions this year are now totalling 157.2 (up 3.5%)

 

• Up falls out of the top spot to #4, to be replaced by the ever popular Twilight: New Moon releasing towards the end of the month it has taken an impressive £20.7m to date.

 

• This years ‘disaster’ movie offering, 2012 becomes the second largest film of the month taking £16.3m in 2 weeks.

 

• It seems that Christmas comes earlier and earlier each year and this year Disney’s A Christmas Carol released right at the beginning of November however despite this it has only taken £11.5m to date (only!) However as soon as the kids Christmas holidays begin and people become more festive, we can expect this to increase.

 

• Despite releasing at the beginning of October, Up still continued to take a further £6m in Nov alone taking it’s running total to £34.2m.

 

• Despite just 4 weeks of theatrical release Michael Jackson’s: This is It took nearly £6m.
