• Cinema admissions for September stood at 9.7m, a decrease of 9% yr on yr


• The moving annual total stands at 167.6m, 3.7% up on the MAT this time last year.

 

• The average weekly admissions figure for September were 2.26m a decrease of -9.24% on average weeks in September 2008 .

 

• Admissions this year are now totalling 128.7m (up 2.7%). 

 

•  G-Force drops out of the top 10 altogether this month and the top spot is replaced by the current instalment of the Final Destination films, The Final Destination.

 

•  District 9 makes it into second place despite only releasing in September. It also manages to push Harry out of the top 10 from last month.

 

•  The quirky independent film 500 Days of Summer proves its not so ‘independent' that it can't make it into the top 5!

 

•  And the kids all flocked to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs ensuring it entered the top 5 at #4 taking £3.7m in the last 2 weeks of the month!

 

•  Everyone put on their dancing shoes for the release of FAME this month. It took £3.4m in just the last 6 days of September!
