Cinema admissions for February stood at 13.9m up 8.2% year on year. • The average weekly admissions figure for February was 3.47m.
• Year to date admissions stand at 27.8m, 3.8% up year on year.
• From the makers of Shaun of the Dead , Hot Fuzz was the top performing film of the month taking £18m.
• In second place starring Julia Roberts and Oprah Winfrey was Charlotte's Web which took £10.3m. The film is a live-action CG animated feature adaptation of E.B. White's ‘ Charlotte's Web'.
• The comedy Music and Lyrics was in third place taking £8.7m. It features Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant.
• Notes on a Scandal was in third place with £5.3m starring Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench and Bill Nighy.
• In fifth position was the animation Arthur and the Invisibles with £5.2m.
