Cinema admissions for March stood at 11.2m up 12.7% year on year.

•  The average weekly admissions figure for March was 2.52m.

•  Q1 admissions stand at 39.0m, 6.2% up year on year.

•  Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 was the top performing film of the month with £8.4m.

•  Hot Fuzz continued to do well in March making it to second place with £7.4m.

•  In third place is the sequel to the 1997 hit ‘Bean' - Mr. Bean's Holiday . It took £5.1m.

•  In fourth place was the comedy Norbit which took £5.0m.

•  Starring Nicholas Cage, Ghost Rider was in fifth place with £4.6m.
