

Film Monitor
The Film Monitor survey supplements the annual FAME survey by providing audience profile data for individual films.
Conducted by Harris Interactive and using an online omnibus panel. Fieldwork is conducted 24 weeks per year. 25 Films are monitored every other week covering demographics such as Sex, Age, Social Class, Household Consumption and Regions.
The survey includes film posters, outline and actors to prompt recall to ensure that sample sizes are as robust as possible and means that the survey is as highly interactive and enjoyable for respondents to complete as possible. An example is displayed below:

Film Monitor acheives a 6,750 sample quarterly (Weighted nat. rep sample) - 24,000 adults, 3,000 kids per year and the rolling sample enables us to catch small and large scale releases. Film Monitor - Key use for Subscribers
1. Audience breakdown for Home Ents release based on Theatrical release profile
2. This demo can then fed into FAME to look at cinema and DVD behaviour
3. Ability to create bespoke groups for further analysis in both theatrical and home ent releases.
Film Monitor - Key Use for Sales Houses
1. Build audience profiles for up-and-coming releases based on historical comparative films… Eg. Sex and the City vs. Sex and the City 2, Horror film vs. similar release etc.
2. Use as above for either predicting or confirming audience profile for CAA alcohol panel (eg. is 75% of the audience 18 or over?)
