No Time to Die Smashes Box Office Records

The much anticipated 25th instalment of the James Bond franchise, No Time To Die, debuted at No.1 – breaking the post-lockdown 3-day opening record with £21m (highest 3-day weekend opening of 2021 previously held by Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings with £5.7m). This is the fifth highest 3-day opening of all time, and the highest 3-day opening in the history of Bond franchise – ahead of Spectre (£19.8m) and Skyfall (£20.2m). Including the Thursday preview figure, its overall total is at £25.9m – placing it only behind the total opening of Spectre with £41.2m (which included Mon-Thu previews). As well as becoming the highest-grossing release of 2021 after just one weekend, with a Saturday gross of £8.5m, the title has achieved the highest single-day gross of all Bond films and the third-highest Saturday gross of all time.

It also gave Everyman cinemas their biggest weekend ever!
